Why Texas tea time you ask, when there are so many great coffee shops in Austin? This blog is not really about tea, or drinking it instead of coffee for that matter. You probably think that this is an advertisement for returning to Downton Abbey manners-where proper ladies drink tea from tiny teacups with their pinkies extended.

This blog is actually inspired by the modern British use of tea as an opportunity to unwind, share problems and solutions over a mug of the hot stuff. Turn on a British sitcom, and you will see some character being comforted by another starting with the wise words: ” would you like a cuppa?”

Having moved around the United States and Europe, I will share stories on the challenges of the “moving experience” as a mother, outsider and foreigner.
